A good night for marketing

The Marketers night that took place last Friday attracted well known industry players and speakers to network, dialogue and share expertise. With a key note speech from the founder of The Motivator Africa, Pepe Minambo on “New Frontier Thinking: How mavericks Move Business from Good to Great”, the get together of various marketing professionals noted that the industry has this year performed well but observed that more can be done as regards world class standard marketing.
Throughout his speech, Minambo urged new frontier thinking: “A new frontier thinker should be able to live ahead of his time. He should be ahead of his peers.
For example, Martin Luther King Jr, believed there would once be a black president back in 1962; Barrack Obama was just two years. That means, even if he is not alive today, he lived beyond his time and envisioned a black person ruling America. I say, that is frontier thinking. Mavericks believe in the power of one, a single person can make a big difference.”
The social side
The event afforded guests the chance to network and interact with their peers from various corporate companies. The night’s entertainment included a quiz that saw guests walk away with a grand prize of Shs2m. In the competition, marketers were challenged to identify sounds, brands, anthems, music, movies, faces and places.
