Ugandans living in North America under their umbrella UNAA Causes have set the 2017 summer's ultimate event (their annual convention) at the Exquisite Aria Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas.

The event set to take place from August 31 to September 3 is already open for registration at a lower cost.

It also has a number of restaurants, night clubs, bars and casinos all in one place to add at glitter to your summer time.

Mr David Muwanga, one of the organisers of the event said the upcoming convention will be more fun than the previous one, reason for the choice of venue ( Las Vegas).

"We aspire to make our convention the summer's ultimate event- full of fun and merry making as well as have all the other aspects in the mix like business forums, culture shows, tourism exhibitions among others. We want out people to have a feel of everything." Mr Muwanga noted.

The previous convention took place JW Marriott in Los Angeles featuring East Africa's finest artiste Diamond Platinumz and a litany of Ugandan artistes like David Lutalo, Winnie Nwagi, Ali Naira, Zani Brown and Jazz maestro Isaiah Katumwa.

Others were; Roy Kapale, DJs Bamboo Hi Fi, Caroli Mpoza, Deejay Core, DJ HD from Dallas, BBC Kumlor Dumor inaugural award winner, Nancy Kacungira, Super Model Aamito Lagum, Mr. Fred Makubuya, Nancy Mugga, Stalla Atal, Robin Kisitu, Sheillah Gashumba, among others.

A fashion show was also among the events that left revelers needing more, it was headlined by the beauty queens from Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya and Ethiopia with a specific touch of African and Ugandan culture.

Ugandans also used this opportunity to launch a campaign dubbed the “clean water campaign” whose aim is to ensure that their fellow citizens back home get access to clean water.

Politicians that attended the event included the leader of Opposition in Parliament Winnie Kiiza, Kyandondo County East MP, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, MP for Bukoto East, Ms Florence Namayanja and Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
