Castle Lite launched another season of the Friday Night Lights to a full house at the Legends Bar on Thursday.
Friday Night Lights is an entertainment and fun filled basketball tournament that gives a chance to fans to interact with their favourite players. It is a pre-season tournament that takes place at the YMCA grounds for several weeks every Friday night. The launch event, organised by Kinetic Group attracted a large crowd of revellers and basketball fans who came to party the night away.
By 9pm, people were still trickling in to the venue, but the action soon began with the emcees of the day - Marcus and Val announcing a demonstration of And1 tricks by some of the basketball stars to the delight of the crowd. The challenge was later on taken to the house where some revellers were tasked to demonstrate their skills.
The DJ battle between DJ Karo and Rachael followed suit with the latter spinning the disks to the delight of the crowd, which literally danced to every song she played especially the controversial song Emesse.
By midnight, the party was just beginning with performances of rappers The Mith and Ruyonga who entertained the house. The duo performed some of their songs like Ruyonga’s Hustle, Tutuuse and The Mith sampled some of his newest hits like We Should Go, among others. They were later on joined by other rappers like Young Nick and Enygma.
Ruyonga and Enygma later on free styled for the house amidst loud ululations and screams from the already charged crowd.
The best was saved for the last as DJ Aludah took charge of the turn tables, sending the whole house to their feet. DJ Adludah released his latest mix tape, sang, danced and carefully guided the crowd with his selection of both old and new hits to the delight of the revellers. The party went on till late in the morning.
