Getting freaky at Halloween night

There is only one day where revellers outdo one another trying to mock the devil in appearance and that is on the Halloween Day. Then, it is all crazy as revellers creatively cover themselves in colour, masks, long attires and basically turn up looking and feeling freaky.

It was Halloween night last Saturday and a party was held to play disguise in black and red costumes. Decorative pumpkins were all over the venue which was one gigantic house of horrors with bonfires in the gardens and a little of playing pranks on one another. Kampala’s Hallowen came four days earlier as it is celebrated on October 31 world over and this year’s was Talent Africa’s Chief Executive Aly Allibhai’s idea.

The gothic party kicked off at 8pm and was not one with chronology but free for all. Deejay Aludah was playing the music, emcee Mckenzie Brian kept the vibe and revellers kept dancing to the music and moving from one corner of Mish Mash to another or breaking up in groups to enjoy small talk.

Halloween was first celebrated in the 16th Century and it represents a Scottish variant of the fuller All-Hallows with costumes won traditionally modelled after supernatural figures such as monsters, ghosts, skeletons, witches, and devils.
