Radio & Weasel snub UNAA convention as Juliana flies to Vegas for Uganda convention

In a strange turn of events, Radio and Weasel who were due to headline at the UNAA convention in Miami have not made it to the USA.

The singing duo were expected at the convention on September 2, but have been advertised as event headliners for the Club Mega Fest due in Masaka on the same day.

NTV’s Miles Rwamiti who is in Miami for the convention, confirmed that Radio and Weasel are “not performing here”. He however declined to delve into why the singing duo had snubbed the event.

Meanwhile on the other side, UNAA Causes, a split group of Ugandans in North America have started their convention dubbed Uganda Festival in Las Vegas.

Among the artistes already in Vegas to entertain revellers include; Juliana Kanyomozi, Sheebah Karungi, David Lutalo, King Saha, Naava Grey and Nigerian singing duo P-Square.

“All artistes have their work permits and are here to entertain our guests through the four day festival,” UNAA Causes deputy chairman David Muwanga said.

A few moments earlier, a video of Juliana assuring her fans that she is set to perform at the festival from 31 August to September 3 had been making rounds on social media.

The Uganda Festival also dubbed summer’s ultimate event is being hosted at Aria resort in USA’s entertainment capital- Vegas.

Also expected at the event is a fundraising runway fashion show headlined by Uganda’s US based model, Amiito Lagum Stacey and East African beauty queens including Miss Uganda, Leah Kagasa.

The funds from the event will be used to launch a clean water campaign for Ugandans back home.
