Haruna Mubiru ‘kills’ fans with love

Kream Production’s Haruna Mubiru had a massive turn up during the launch of his Sente Zibonya Bonya song at Freedom City on Valentine’s Day.

It was a massive lovers’ crowd at Freedom City hall on Valentine’s Day as Haruna Mubiru launched his new hit song Sente Zibonya Bonya. The event commenced at about 7.30pm with curtain raising performances by artistes such as Kinene, who sang his Kuyiiya hit.

At about 10.15pm, the long awaited singing hajji finally stepped on stage, clad in a white suit, red shirt and a white cap. He kicked off his performance with hits such as Maama, First Class, Taata, Ticket and Nkwagala, backed up by his Kream Productions band amid deafening cheers and ululations from the fans.

As Mubiru went for a break, the show continued with acts from other artistes such as Bebe Cool, who performed Nkola byafaayo, Big Size and the famous Love You Everyday, which he dedicated to the couples.

Stabuwa Natoro’s Tujanjawaze tune got the fans mad as everyone stood to dance to it. Other performances were from Ambassador Ssali, Kabuye Ssemboga, Diana Musoke and Mary Bata, who did Disappointment and the much loved Salute that got fans singing along.

The second coming
At about 11.30pm, Mubiru came back on stage with melodies such as Kitooke and Binyuma. Midway his performance, he was joined by Messach Semakula of the Golden Band and the duo did hits such as Thank You My People, Size Yange, Kyalimpa and Wampangula. Semakula thanked the fans for supporting Mubiru.

At about 12.30am, the emcee, Sarah Kabenge, called up city businessman Michael Mukasa Kasawuli (Salongo Samona) to unveil the new Sente Zibonya Bonya song.

He bought a copy of the record at Shs10 million. Mubiru closed the show at about 1.10am with a splendid performance of the new song.
