In a show that airs on M-Net, comedians are profiled and offered a wider television platform to demonstrate their talents

Different comedians like Anne Kansiime, Patrick “Salvado” Idringi and Dolibondo have raised the Ugandan comedy flag a notch higher. Kansiime has a comedy skit on the Kenyan Citizen TV, Don’t Mess With Kansiime. Salvado also featured in Comedy Central Africa in Mauritius at Multichoice’s content showcase extravaganza recently where he turned the house upside down as he cracked ribs.
For the second time, M-Net, a South African TV pay channel and its production known as M-Net Africa, has for the past two weeks been in Uganda for a comedy shoot.

The Kampala show
At an invite only event which was meant for a small audience (15 to 30 people), the show, titled Comedy Club Live Kampala Season Two, was held at Imperial Royal Hotel. The show airs on M-Net, profiles comedians, and offers them a wider television platform to demonstrate their talent as stand-up comedians.
Hosted by popular comedian Anne Kansiime, the show will provide an hour of entertainment for the audience at the venue as well as the viewers at home.

After the comedians performances, they are invited to sit down for an interview with Kansiime, who asks only funny questions. In between the different skits, bands Qwela and Magic Hornz perform live for the audience.
Two comedians perform during each episode.
In the first week of the show, Dolibondo and Patricko Mujuuka left the revellers in awe. With state-of-the-art cameras, Dolibondo was the first to take to the stage. He joked about his old times in school, which kept the audience applauding him throughout his performance.

Mujjuka, who came on stage just after Dolibondo, kicked off with cracking ribs. “At school, when my children are asked what their father does, they tell the teacher how I say silly things and get paid for it.”
The other comedians who will feature in the subsequent shows will include Bright Amanya, Cotilda, Conan, Columbus, Bob Nuwagira, Daniel Omara, Alex Muhangi, Mendo Herbert Segujja, Emmanuel Sebakije, Prince Ehmah and Pablo Kimuli. The shows will also feature Harve and Michelle from Rwanda.
