Maro crowns self Rn’B Kyabazinga

The Rising Star singer, clad in a cream pair of trousers, black shirt, black shades with a silver crown, took to the stage at 20 minutes to 10pm wearing a cloak that read Rn’B Kyabazinga (Lusoga for King of Rn’B). He did songs off his first album like Sulabulungi, Why and Musayi among others before taking a break
Despite his concert being held at a new venue, the heavy afternoon down poor and Jamaican artiste Chris Martin having a show on the same day, Maro proved he’s a force to reckon with in the music industry after successfully pulling a huge crowd at his Kyokoba, Mubbi Bubbi concert at Mackinnon Suites on Friday evening.

He returned to the stage to sing Omuwesi and Genda Ewamwe but took some time off to perform other Rn’B artistes’ songs like Maurice Kirya’s Bagala Alina, Tonik’s Nsaba Obelle Nange, Aziz Azion’s Nkumila Omukwano and Michael Ross’s Senorita, saying they are some the songs that inspired him.
Joined on stage by both his parents and sponsors Club Beer’s Shem Ssemambo, Maro concluded his concert with Kyokoba and Mubbi Bubbi amidst loud applause from the crowd.

There were other performances from artistes like Ronni Stamina, Lydia Jazmine, Aziz Azion and Gnl Zamba.
New events company Extreme Music and Entertainment handled the sound and they did a fairly good job. The downside was absence of advertised acts like Radio and Weasel, Irene Ntale, Iryn Namubiru, Rema and David Lutalo with whom Maro did Mubbi Bubbi.
