Ntale’s ‘Gyobera’ gets Gulu fans high

Even after the show, Ntale’s fans could not stop miming the song to themselves

Gyobera, one of Irene Ntale’s sensational songs, has been a hit at many radio stations and hangout places in the northern region since its release this year.
The song’s musical tempos and dancehall beats blend in perfectly for any urban music lover thus making it easy to penetrate the radio air waves in any region.
Last Saturday, at a fully packed Blue Mango Bar and Grill, the venue for the Gyobera Concert, Ntale proved to the crowd she has does not only possess a sweet voice but she is a good dancer and good stage performer too.

Holidays makers, mostly secondary school and university students, resisted the biting Saturday cold weather as they waited in the long queue to gain entrance to catch a glimpse of the fast rising artiste. At 10pm, curtain-raisers kicked off the concert with Lumix and Judas, all Gulu-based hip-hop artistes, thrilling the rather small crowds at the time with mind dropping Luo raps.
At exactly midnight, the crowd’s favourite, Ntale, stepped on the podium to showcase her musical prowess in her first performance in the region.

Donning orange shorts and black top dress, Ntale drew the rather dormant revellers in to dancing mood and others were sent into ululation as she opened her stage performance with her hit song Love Letter.
From songs such as Olindaba, Addiction, Katambala, Remote Control, Stay With Me, Eno Ye Sawa, tamong others, Ntale staged an energetic one-hour musical performance that left many of her fans yearning for more.
The 25-year-old former church songstress climaxed the concert at 1.30am with her latest release, Gyobera, which turned the audience musically wild as others jumped on the podium to dance along with her.
Gyobera was the spoken language at Blue Mango Bar and Grill. Even after the concert, revellers whistled Ntale’s Gyobera lyrics as they wined down the night till dawn
