Pepsi holds media challenge, launches AXL bottle

The media is always known for criticizing different people in different fields like sports and music among others. Recently, Crown beverages put different media personalities on a test, regardless of what they cover, sports, lifestyle or business. Different media houses sent through their representatives to try out football and music skills (read karaoke)

All this happened at Lugogo UMA grounds. Each team brought in 3 members, one of them was meant to answer sports related questions whereas others were to showcase football skills, all this came with a stake of Shs400,000 for the overall winner.

There was a Karaoke competition were different participants chose which songs to sing to. The results were at a scale of 100. Other challenges involved a Question and answer session where the MC asked sports related questions.

At the end of the day, the online team emerged winners walking home with Shs400,000 cash, Team daily monitor was the second, it was represented by the sports Editor Mark Namanya and features writer Joseph Ssemutooke, they also took home Shs200,000 and a pepsi branded ball.

All this happened at the event which was dubbed the Pepsi challenge launch, the particular event was restricted to only the media since it was a media launch.

It was during the event that pepsi launched a unique bottle which is called AXL which is a 330ml.

According to Mr Jeff Ssekandi, the Customer Marketing Manager, who represented Mr Innocent Tibayeita, head of Marketing and Sales, said the new bottle is part of the company's ongoing update of marketing and packaging materials for the sodas.

There was also a performance from Singer Nutty Neithan who only came out to sing one song Bakuwe Kyonywa.
