On Friday, Club Guvnor Uganda launched a new theme party-Frenzy Fridays. The night that will be held every third Friday will be dedicated to promoting and celebrating new aspects in entertainment and lifestyle for individuals or groups. To launch the night was dancehall sensation A-Pass who premiered his latest video- Wuuyo last Friday.

Socialite
s, entertainers and music lovers filled up the classy Guvnor to witness the new theme night. At about 12.45am, the night’s host, Douglas Lwanga of NTV, took to the floor and kicked off the night’s activity with a special tribute to fallen singer Emmanuel Mayanja aka AK-47. Douglas asked the crowd to observe a moment of silence for AK-47, which they did. A special video of AK-47’S last video interview with Douglas was played on the screens as the crowd watched in sorrow.

But the melancholic mood was cut short after the night’s main celebrant - singer A-Pass was introduced on stage. He performed his popular Tuli Kubigere and his smooth reggae jam, Wuuyo.

The long awaited moment had come, the club went dark, and the new video Wuuyo was played on all screens in club. Patrons watched attentively as the video was played over three times on the screens. A video of A-Pass explaining the concept of the song was also played.

A-Pass’ father was in the club to show support to his son and he told the audience that the singer grew up listening to reggae. Little wonder it inspired his music style.
