Uganda Festival heads to Washington DC

The 2017 Uganda Festival in Las Vegas, USA, could as well pass as the best show in the diaspora organized by Ugandans.
The festival that started on August 31 and ended on September 3 was characterised by nonstop entertainment from all manner of artistes at the exquisite Jewel Night Club.

Nigerian singing duo of Psquare brought the house down when they hit the stage with their “temptation” song. Other artistes; Juliana Kanyomozi, David Lutalo, Sheebah Karungi, King Saha, An3lina, Minah Izah and Naava Grey added more highlight to a fun filled night in Vegas.

The event was hosted by KFM’s Maliaka Nyanzi, David Kazoora, Robin Kisiti, Sophie Tattu and Nancy Mugga.
Also notably present were; Miss Uganda CEO Brenda Nanyonjo, Miss Uganda Leah Kagasa. Uganda’s US based model Amiito Stacey Lagum and former Miss Kenya Idah Nguma.

The purely Ugandan annual event was organized by Ugandans in North America under their umbrella UNAA Causes. The next Festival is scheduled to take place in USA’s capital, Washington DC, from August 30 2018 to September 3.

“UNAA Causes wants to thank all those that participated in the very successful Las Vegas Festival and we are looking forward to an exciting event in Washington DC. The Uganda Festival in DC will feature more live music and other exciting details,” a statement from the organisers reads.

“UNAA Causes has also scheduled the First Diaspora Enterpreneurship Club Townhall Conference Call on Sunday September 24th, 2017 at 4.00 PM to discuss the business opportunity offered by the club for Ugandans around the world,” the statement continues.
