A rich valentine package awaits you

Are you still wondering how you are going to spend Valentines’ Day? Well, worry no more.
As the day comes closer, Daily Monitor has started a campaign dubbed “Just the 2 of us” in which lucky couples will win an assortment of packages.
Emmeline Bisiikwa, the activations and promotions officer at Daily Monitor says besides serving as a platform of giving back to the readers, the campaign is also aimed at advising couples to enjoy the day responsibly.
“Our motive is to see to it that couples are happy and celebrating their love cautiously rather than recklessly,” says Bisiikwa.
How to participate
In order to qualify as one of the eventual lucky winners, interested parties will post a selfie of themselves as well as state the craziest thing they have ever done for love on the Daily Monitor Facebook and Twitter pages.
They could also tune into KFM and Dembe FM for constant updates.
Bisiikwa states that the pictures and comments will be judged on the number of likes and shares.
“The ones will the highest numbers of approvals will then qualify for the next round,” she says.
We shall then call the couples up and ask each one how well they know their partner and afterwards cross check with their significant other.
“If the responses are not matching, the couple is disqualified and if they are tallying, the couple moves onto the next stage,” Bisiikwa notes.
The answers will then be shared on social media and in Daily Monitor. It is at this stage where we shall then select the overall winners between 15 to 20 couples entitled to different packages. We shall base on how well the questions were answered.
The campaign has been running from January 25 and will continue to February 14. A similar campaign has in the past seen one of the winning couples walking down the aisle after participating in 2014. We are hopeful that the same happens this year.
The different packages for the eventual winners include a chopper experience, a movie night, a romantic dinner, spa and massage, shopping, get aways. Also, two couples will spend two nights at Budongo Eco lodge, one couple at Pineapple Bay Resort in Bulago Island while three couples will spend a night at the Country Lake Resort Garuga, among other treats.
