Finally, I have got my own Keko

The girl I am currently dating is a rapper. I am not sure whether to call her an upcoming rapper or artiste. I dont know which exactly, but she raps.
I can’t even figure out if she is really interested in rapping as a career, because she has not quit her job at the Logistics firm. But that all does not matter, to me she is the best female rapper in the whole wide world. And this is not because I am dating her, no.
That has nothing to do with this. I have listened to her do bits here and there, and wow, she is good! And the fact the she doesnt put in any apparent effort makes only so much uhmm, sexier.
So, I was going through my CDs (yeah, some of us still have CDs, so what?) looking for something to listen to when I landed on a CD I had never seen before.
I slotted it in, out of curiousity, and a laid back beat filled the room. Then, the voice started talking or rather rapping. Maybe I cannot tell the difference. I recognised the voice as my girlfriend’s.
I looked around, thinking she was in the room with me, and was just fooling around. But no, she was on the CD, rapping away like it was something she was born doing. I was so taken aback. I listened intently to the track over and over again.
I could have spent the whole day doing that but I had some errands to run. But as soon as I got back, I hit the replay button.
I spent that week, looking at her with new eyes. I mean, there was more to her than meets the eye. And to think that all this time she had never alluded to even having an interest in that kind of music
It was bordering on hypocritical! But, I didn’t care about that. I was too thrilled to care.
I waited for her to tell me about this, but this was not happening and I was becoming impatient.
So, one Sunday I asked her about the CD. And she asked me which CD. I had anticipated that exact question, so I whipped it out, slotted it in, and hit play.
She looked at me with this look one gives a person that is not so quick to learn things. Then she asked, “what about it?”. and I was dumbfounded. What about it indeed. But, no she wasnt getting away that easily.
I asked her what the rap was all about? She responded that it was a hobby, nothing serious.
But, that wasnt “hobby” material. It had a professional touch. She laughed it off and calmly said that was a differnet lifetime all together. I think she was lying.
See, I have heard her a number of times rapping to herself. Like when she is in the kitchen, or in the shower.
She just goes into this slow, easy flow and I can’t help it but fall a litle more in love with her. And I think she is recording another track.
Why she doesn’t want to tell me about it, I do not understand! I would even pay to go watch her perform! But, oh no, she says that is not her.
She is a projects manager, not a musician. Well, when I am kissing her, I am not kissing a projects manager, but my own Miss Keko. No, it is not Keko, but well, she would give Keko a run for her money.
