Newly wed or not, marital bliss is a field every couple would want to drive their relationship to. Happiness in marriage to some is an everyday activity while to others, marriage is a nightmare. Ali Kawooya, a businessman and one of our lucky winners from our ongoing Honeymoon in the wild competition shared some of the secrets he believes can help if one is to derive pleasure from a marriage. Couples can try them for an experience of glee in their relationships. To win a honeymoon, check for the details in our Sunday Monitor.
1. Be prayerful; couples should be prayerful because God guides and helps you with a relationship. One should pray often to seek guidance and counsel from the Lord.
2. Understanding; Much as understanding one another can be a task sometimes, couples should always understand one another at all times, in all situations.
3. Trust; partners should be trustworthy towards one another because most marriages are threatened and later affected by lack of trust with a partner.
4. Be good to one another all the time.
5. Always wear a smile whenever you are with your partner regardless of how tired or troubled you are, always smile when you are with her.
6. Settling differences is good; avoid going to bed or starting a new day with a previous difference because this will only create room for misunderstandings.
7. Do not hide any grievances you might have. Always share with your partner what is bothering you so that they can help you deal with it.
8. Always be honest with one another.
9. Love one another; Love is love and there are no shortcuts. Always show your partner how much you love them.
10. Do not rely on outsiders for advice because not all people wish you the best in your marriage. Consult family, especially parents and a few close friends.
