Her story

Where and when did you meet Alex?

I met Alex in Mbarara in 2012. You know in 2011, I contested for Miss Uganda and emerged 1st Runner Up as well as Miss Popularity. So, in 2012 we were doing regional tours and he was hosting them.

Were you single then?
Oh yes, I was single.

Did you fall for his jokes?
Hahahaha No! But I admit, the dude was very funny. By the way, he still is.

What makes him special?
Alex will protect those that he loves with all he has. His family comes first. He is a Mukiga, but has that soft side only I know.

Does he crack jokes even at home?
Hmmmm. His serious side will shock you, but the humour stays. He is pretty quiet as well by the way.

You are beautiful and in the limelight, don’t you get stalkers?
I’m beautiful? Thanks! I don’t think they are stalkers really. Every radio presenter has fans, I’m not any different. Well, there will be those that want a piece of you, but it’s up to you to stay grounded and focused.

What challenges and positives can you pick in the time you have lived together?
It is amazing. I have gotten to know so many things about him and learnt that he is a very intelligent man.
Challenges? Learning to live with someone can be challenging sometimes, a lot of sacrifices have to be made, but when you get it right, you are good to go.

What experiences did you get from the Miss Uganda expedition and how do you think it changed your life?
It was a very amazing experience Meeting so many people from different walks of life, companies asking to hire me Epic! I never had to look for a job, I still work with the company that hired me in 2012 after Miss Uganda. Working with Miss Uganda enabled me change and impact on the lives of the less privileged.

Alex travels a lot on his comedy jigs, how do you cope during such times?
You can’t be lonely when you have a child. Oy daughter, Jehu, keeps me busy all the time! But we keep in touch when he travels.

You’re a working lady, do you supplement the family income?
The man providing everything for the family is a thing of the past. Every man wants a woman who can chip in and help where possible.

Have you talked about the introduction and wedding in the near future?
Hahaha we are not under pressure but if he doesn’t, the loss is his and I’m sure he knows. There are not so many good women like me out there.

How do you balance studying, working for Miss Uganda franchise, radio and family life?
It’s tight but I try to balance. I study in the morning, work in the afternoon and run home immediately. I am lucky I don’t like hanging out so I spend enough time with my family. For example, you wouldn’t make me leave home over the weekend for anything.

What advice would you give to ladies in love with celebrities?
Be the woman of the house, be the woman he won’t find anywhere else. The truth is, a man is not going to leave what he knows he can’t find anywhere else.

His story >

Where and when did you meet Prim?
We met at a Miss Uganda contest I was hosting in 2012 in Mbarara.

You are a celebrity, how do you deal with the many women that stalk you?
You mean fans? Women like me because of my jokes, others say I look good, others think I am rich, but that’s it. The ones for jokes want to hear jokes, the ones for good looks want a selfie and the ones who think I am rich want a drink at the counter. I control myself I don’t have stalkers, I have lovely fans.
