Relationships

SINGLE IN THE CITY: Do what the romans do but

A few weeks back. I owned up to a certain indiscretion where I was just doing what the romans (read “me”) do. Little did I know that the consequences would haunt me. How come nobody mentioned that when they were crafting that do what the Romans do adage?

I have had a tough time shaking off that one night stand guy. In fact, I have new found respect for the guy who manages to do a clean hit and run. Not that I hate it when a guy just does it to me but now at least I know that it takes a resolve of steel to not turn the one night into something else.

If this were a first world country I would get a restraining order. But we are where we are and all I can do is tell him off and hope he gets it this time. I have contemplated hiring a muscle to scare him but then I thought what if he thought of retaliating and you have all seen those acid victims’ pictures so you understand why I killed that line of thought.

He will call or show up everywhere talking about how I touched a part of him no one had before. Who knew they made them so emotional nowadays? That is a girl’s line man! I have since quit swimming, or the jogging because I am likely to bump into him.

The only thing he has not been able to take from me is the nightlife. I suspect he does not know whether I even party. So I still manage to sneak around at night and have fun. There is one problem though, it seems more and more like it is easier to meet a guy during the day than at night. Plus this meet at the club relationship seem to always have a sell by date on them and much as I do not have a long term relationship to speak off. I always start one with hope.

Anyway in other news, an old girlfriend is coming to town after some time abroad. A little about Maureen. She is stunning, like a real beauty and attracts men like dung does flies. Here is how I am hoping this will work in my favour. When the men flock around her, they will also see my subtle appeal and amazing sense of humor and then we will be both in business.

Actually now that I think about it maybe I should start looking around for a posy of beautiful girls to walk around with. I think you are more likely to catch attention like that in pairs. Maybe this whole lone hunter thing I do is the problem.
