In Summary
Testimony. Sometimes we believe miracles only happen to others, however, Spectrum Show host Edmond Kizito, experienced a miracle that changed his life forever, he shares about that moment.
Saturday April 6, started like an ordinary day. Edmond Kizito woke-up to his usual routine and at around midday, a family friend, Pastor Ram William Lukwago, showed up to pick him for a friend’s wedding at Rubaga Miracle Cathedral.
After the wedding, the two decided to pay a visit to another junior pastor at Liberty Worship Centre International at Lugala. At Liberty, Pr Lukwago was ushered in to meet the other pastor and Kizito waited for him in the visitors lounge.
Later, Kizito was invited to join the two pastors and their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. On opening, in walked Pastor Imelda Namutebi, the founder and senior pastor at Liberty Worship Centre. She invited them to her office, where a prayer was said before Kizito was formally introduced to her.
After the introduction, they prayed again and then Kizito gave his testimony . As he narrated his experience in salvation, Pastor Tom Kula joined them. “I told them how I sold my house and car to contribute to the expansion of God’s work through building churches and donating to the poor”.
Turn of events
It is at this point that Pr Namutebi interjected and asked Kizito where he stays and if he lives in his own house. Kizito informed her that he now rents a house in Bukoto. Without a second thought, Pr Namutebi told Kizito, “I have given you a house”.
“I was shocked and did not believe what I had just heard. I was speechless. When I finally composed myself, I thanked Pr Namutebi still in disbelief. If it is not a miracle then what is it? I never ever thought that I would own or rent such a house all my life?” he says.
But the pastor was serious and she immediately called her caretaker to bring the keys to the house. However the lady’s number was off. Namutebi asked him to return to her church on Monday, April 8 and pick them.
Together with his wife Rose, Kizito went to Lugala where the key and land titles were given to them as earlier promised. The house that is situated in Muyenga was previously rented out at $1500 (Shs2.8million).
Kizito believes he found favour because of his faithfulness in giving.
Cheerful giver
Asked why she donated a house to a stranger, Pr Namutebi said she is only fulfilling God’s calling as she has also got many donations from believers. Kizito says indeed one’s allegiance to God pays. He sold his property and gives a portion of his salary to the needy. He says it is the only thing that explains how he can be given a house on first sight from a person he was interacting with for the first time.
