Crazy outfits, great stage at Buzz Teeniez
Teens had their first plot of the term as soon as they got home for the second term holidays-Buzz Teeniez Awards. Last Saturday, they thronged the 10th edition of the Buzz Teeniez Awards, which took place at the UMA exhibition hall in Lugogo.
Entrance fee which was Shs5, 000 and Shs10, 000 at the entrance, entitled everyone to a free Mountain Dew soda, from Crown Beverages Limited, the main sponsors of the event.
By 9am, the Teens arrived at the venue, clad in different types of outfits, many casual and some in quite creative outfits bordering on crazy. One of the revelers was seen dressed like a bricklayer, his outfit was made of a ragged dirty shirt and shorts, and he had smeared himself with mud, a sign that he came straight to the event from his job, brick laying.
There were other students who were dressed like they were from space.
Celebrity stylists Abryanz and Kim Swagga were tasked by the organisers to choose the best dressed boy and girl, who would win Shs 100,000 each. Besides the fashion, it was a special day for the organisers as Buzz Teeniez Awards was marking 10 years in existence, a feat no other entertainment awards in Uganda have reached.
Different artistes and stakeholders in the music Industry were in attendance, some of them were recognised for their hardwork in the music Industry with accolades after being nominated in different categories of the awards.
For the last 9 years, DJ Shiru has monopolised the award for Teeniez Wickedest DJ. For the first time, DJ Shiru was not nominated in the category of Teeniez Wickedest DJs.
As everyone was wondering why he wasn’t featured anywhere, the organisers knew the trick. To applaud his performance in the Entertainment Industry, he was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement award.
