Kinyara Sugar Limited extended a contribution of UGX 5 million, on Thursday, to the Church Of Uganda Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese for construction of the Bishop’s new state of the art residence that will conform to the current times. The current residence that was constructed in 1912 has since been deemed considerably old and no-longer able to cater for contemporary needs.
The General Manager of Kinyara Sugar Limited Mr. Ramalingam Ravi handed over the cheque to the Bishop Rt. Rev. Samuel Kahuma in Hoima at the construction site in the presence of the Kinyara communications manager Mathias Wanok, members of the clergy and the construction management committee.

The Bishop also called upon other stakeholders and well wishers to support the construction project.
"Kinyara’s community outreach ethos is premised on the zeal to effectively enable real progressive improvement of livelihoods in our community. The Church of Uganda is a fundamental player in improving the wellbeing of communities through its various endeavours in medical services, education, poverty eradication, real estate among others , so supporting it in any way such us this; gives us the pride and satisfaction of being part of the contributors to real positive development in our community and country atlarge." Mr. Ravi said during the handover.
