Glitz and glamour as Bad Black celebrates her 30th birthday

You are probably used to modest birthday events characterised by cake, soda, some wine and nyama choma. Well, not anymore. Shanita Namuyimbwa, alias Bad Black celebrated her 30th birthday in a lavish style, a thing that left revellers awestruck. Hassan Ssentongo was there.

Last Friday was Uganda’s socialite, Bad Black’s birthday. To celebrate the milestone, the controversial star hosted a luxurious birthday bash at Kingdom Kampala, dubbed ‘Black Boulevard.’

Away from all the shenanigans at the event, the party had a very strict dress code- glitter and shimmer for the ladies and all black for men.

Those who did not heed to the dress code were politely barred from accessing the event. Bad Black made a triumphant entry donning a relatively heavy but shimmery gown. It featured a fitting long skirt which turned into a feather filled floor grazing train. The gown also had lace sleeves with peeking skin.

As men followed the all black dress code to the letter, ladies had fun with a myriad of choices from shimmer, glitter and sequins, and more.
