Valentine’s drama: He is not coming

What you need to know:

  • Boy children were onto their wild game on Thursday night presenting themselves as a possible shoulder to cry on.

So Valentine’s Day happened!
On Wednesday, most of us were hitting bars and restaurants to simply have one more plate before its price was tripled for at least the next 24 hours.
I have never stopped to wonder why Valentine’s Day is really magical, it is not even a holiday but for some reason people find a way of commemorating it without fail.
Rumour has always had it that February 13, is the singles’ day out, apparently they show up to pick fellow singles that desperately do not want to be single on Valentine’s Day.

And then there are those that will be single but not bothered about Valentine’s Day, it is just a day you know! They will even do their best to ensure that everyone in touch with them knows that they do not care about the red and black fake day.
For instance, if Valentine’s Day was on a weekday, they could kick it off by receiving a rose they bought and mailed to their office.
You know some people really enjoy that whole thing of being seen receiving goodies from a mystery lover, but if it is a weekend, they will simply stay home, watch TV but while at it, make everyone aware that they are not celebrating Valentine’s Day.

On Thursday, many of such were empowering themselves thanks to a clan of hashtags and self-love social media posts.
But then of course there are those that simply turned to old tricks ensuring the day is a hunting ground!
He’s not coming, call it a phrase, saying or all those names philosophers and learned people chose to give words that make as much sense like ‘he is not coming.’
It is one of those tricks out of the Bro Code that people execute on days such as Valentine.

To pull it off though, one needs Valentine’s Day and a place that many lovers will be meeting, after that. All they need is observation and soon, there is a tense human being.
With a heavy heart, walk towards them and say, “he is not coming..”
Boy children were onto their wild game on Thursday night presenting themselves as a possible shoulder to cry on.
But some of us were just good, worked normally, left work late, wished random people a happy love day, while on the inside, we kept wishing time simply ran faster, a little faster.
