A row between the two started when the father took over the wife to his son

Police said the suspect confessed to the offence saying he didn’t intend to kill his son.

‘’I never intended to kill my son because I loved him and I am the one who was going to build him the house but my son had become a nuisance by joining peer groups in gambling and he had become so disrespectful. I ask police to forgive me because all that happened was because of anger,’’ the suspect is said to have told police.
Police further quoted the suspect saying he wanted to cut his son’s hand but he missed and instead cut his neck before he panicked and ran into hiding.

Mr Kasasira said the suspect is married to three wives, one of whom was formerly his deceased son’s lover and it is believed to be the cause of the misunderstandings that resulted into last week’s fatal disagreement.
‘’According to family members, problems started when the suspect married the third wife whom he snatched from his son(the deceased) which resulted into misunderstandings between the two until last Thursday when he killed him,’’ Mr Kasasira said
Mr Kasasira said police have preferred murder charges against the suspect and his file will be taken to the resident state attorney for sanctioning before taking him to court.
