MPIGI-  Mr Asadu Wamala, the director and proprietor of Wamala Mixed Day and Boarding Secondary School at Mpambire Village in Mpigi Town Council, who is accused of aggravated defilement and  indecent assault has Tuesday been committed to the high court for trial .

Mr Wamala was committed to the High Court by Mpigi Grade One Magistrate, Ms Maureen Mukoye on Tuesday together with the school matron, Ms Halimah Nansubuga who was charged with procuring defilement.

Prosecution led by Ms Justine Nakayiza told court that investigations into the matter  are complete and they are ready to proceed with the case .

Prosecution alleges that between  October and November last year, Wamala while at his school lured two teenage girls  aged 16 and 17 years respectively, into sexual acts.

He was also accused of indecently assaulting another underage girl from the same school.

It is also stated that Nansubuga, the school matron aided Wamala to commit the offences.

Whereas Wamala was initially arrested, charged and later granted bail by the same court late last year, President Museveni intervened and ordered Wamala 's re-arrest and fresh charges were slapped against him.

The president wondered why Wamala was charged with indecent assault after sexually abusing teenagers.

According the presiding magistrate, investigations indicate that the accused were subjected to a medical checkup which revealed that they are mentally upright and that the victims were examined and doctors found that they were sexually assaulted.

The suspects were remanded to Kigo Prison pending the hearing of their cases on a date yet to be set by the High Court.

However, Wamala attributes his woes to witch hunt by his business and political rivals.
