Amin’s grandson takes Kibanda North seat

Masindi/Kiryandongo. A grandson of former president Idi Amin, Mr Tampo Amin Jegejege, has won the Kibanda North parliamentary seat in Kiryandongo District.
Mr Amin got got 24,163 votes to beat the leader of Independent MPs, Mr Sam Owor Otada, who got 16,118 votes and Mr Hakim Muhumuza (FDC) who attained 1,305 votes.

In the newly-created Kibanda South parliamentary Constituency, Mr Jack Odur Lutanywa (NRM) won with 8,900 votes. He beat Mr Jacob Karubanga (Independent) who had 7,277 votes while Ms Jane Abalo (FDC) got 1,706. Another candidate, Mr William Wataka (Independent) ,got 556.
For Kiryandongo District Woman MP seat, Ms Hellen Kahunde (NRM), was re-elected after defeating Ms Jovia Mbabazi (Independent).
Ms Hahunde got 27, 463 votes, Ms Mbabazi 24,099 votes and Ms Adokorach Irene (independent) got 7,103.

For the Masindi district Woman MP, Jalia Bintu beat Florence Asiimwe and Mildred Kahombo. Bintu got 39,699 votes against Asiimwe’s 22,556 and Kahombo (17,316).
