The 35 Arua treason suspects, led by Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP) Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine, have demanded the return of their property confiscated by police during their arrest in August last year in Arua.

The suspects appeared before Gulu Grade One Magistrate, Mr Isaac Imram Kintu on Thursday.

While their case was adjourned till adjourned to March 19, 2019, the suspects have asked Police to return their property since they have no connection with the case.

Some of the items include Bobi Wine’s wedding ring, Arua Municipality MP Kassiano Wadri’s Shs85 million and a pistol, while another suspect Night Asara claims that the Police refused to return two knickers they took from her bag.

However, prosecution contends that many of the items taken by Police are exhibits.
