Two Bank of Uganda security personnel have been charged with negligence leading to the disappearance of closed banks documents.
Ms Beatrice Kyambadde and Charles Mollo appeared before City Hall Court in Kampala on Tuesday and charged with negligence before they were remanded to Luzira Prison until December 6.
This was after prosecution told court that police investigation is not yet complete.

Ms Kyambadde and Mr Mollo, the BoU security personnel, who were manning the access points that former BoU executive director for Supervision, Ms Justine Bagyenda used, were arrested last Thursday on orders of parliamentary committee investigating the closure of commercial banks for negligence because they allegedly allowed her in and out without conducting the requisite checks as spelt out in the BoU security manual.

The two were arrested alongside the bodyguard and driver of former BoU executive director for Supervision, Ms Justine Bagyenda on orders of the parliamentary committee investigating the closure of commercial banks.
The MPs also ordered the arrest of Ms Juliet Adikot (bodyguard) and Mr Job Turyahabwe (driver) after the duo gave contradicting testimonies to the committee in relation to Ms Bagyenda’s itinerary on the day three bags were returned to the central bank on February 10, 2018.
