COVID-19: 15 charged with violating curfew regulations

A group of 15 people who were arrested by security operatives during the curfew hours have been remanded to Kitalya main prison.

They appeared before Buganda Road Court Grade One Magistrate Marion Mangeni who charged them with being a common nuisance. They however denied all the charges read to them.

One of the suspects acted insane and defecated outside the court room and smeared his face with faeces. Nonetheless, he was still charged with being a common nuisance.

Ms Mangeni remanded them to Kitalya prison till April 22 this year as inquiries into their case continue.
