ENTEBBE- Several pupils of St Agnes Primary School in Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso District have Friday been injured in a road accident that involved a bus they were travelling in, and a semi-truck.

The school bus was heading to Lugogo, Kampala city, some 45 kilometres away, where the children were scheduled to compete in the Inter Schools Cricket and Wood Ball Games.

However, at Victoria Mall, in Entebbe town, the bus collided with a truck that was coming from the opposite direction. The truck belongs to Movit Company Limited, a beauty products firm.

According to witnesses, the driver of the truck suddenly made a U-turn at the junction and knocked the school bus, which rolled over.

Several pupils sustained injuries and were rushed to the nearby Entebbe Grade B Referral Hospital, in Entebbe town and Emmanuel Hospital in Katabi.
