Minister of Ethics and Integrity Fr Simon Lokodo has attacked the State minister for Tourism, Mr Godfrey Kiwanda over a beauty pageant dubbed ‘Miss Curvy Uganda’ that he on Tuesday launched to select sexy curvaceous women.

According to Kiwanda, the curvy and sexy Ugandan women should be added to the list of tourism products to attract tourists.

“We have naturally endowed nice looking women that are amazing to look at. Why don’t we use these people as a strategy to promote our tourism industry?” Mr Kiwanda wondered, pointing at “a sample” of beautiful women at the press conference.

However, Fr Lokodo has called this contest scandalous and shameful to the country. He has revealed that he was so surprised that ‘his brother’ Kiwanda had supported something like this.

“My brother Kiwanda is misguided. This thing they are doing is very bad for the country. Uganda is a moral country. We have so many things we can use instead of women’s bodies,” Fr Lokodo, who is currently in Kitgum, said in a telephone interview with Sqoop.
