Fire on Tuesday night gutted Loius enterprise, a cooking oil processing factory in Gulu Municipality and property worth millions of shillings lost.
The factory which belongs to one Mr Willy Oloya, commonly known as Oloya tourist, a popular businessman in Gulu Town also processes rice and maize.

One of the security guards told our reporter that the fire started at around 9.50pm.
He said although the factory operates 24/7, employees had not reported to work when the fire started.

“The room where the fire started from had also been closed. The most affected is the cooking oil storage room,” the guard said.
By press time, fire fighters from St Mary's Hospital Lacor had been deployed. Police fire brigade was nowhere to be seen.
The cause of the fire was yet to be established by the time of filing this story.
