School warden, three students in detention

Police have confirmed the arrest of three people so far to help in their investigations into the cause of fire that left at least 10 students dead at St Bernard Secondary School, Manya in Rakai District in central Uganda.
Mr Ben Nuwamanya, the District Police Commander said Monday that three students and a school warden were in detention.

“We are told there have been some cases of indiscipline and the suspects we have got are going to enrich our investigations,” he said.
The fire burnt a dormitory that was housing at least 50 senior three students.
The dead students include Antonio Ssozi, Sam Nsubuga, Antonio Sekitende, Hudson Byamukama, Charles Suuna, Emma Kasozi, Maurice Basiita, Sharif Toyita, Timothy Bukenya and a one Jjunju.
