PALLISA- Police in Pallisa District are investigating circumstances under which an unidentified middle-aged girl was killed and her body dumped along Pallisa-Gogonyo road near National Water and Sewage Corporation (NWSC) offices.

Pallisa District Police Commander, Mr Dennis Ochama, confirmed the incidence saying the girl was found completely naked and had no identification document with her.
“Police was notified by locals about the dead body and we acted swiftly only to find a girl suspected to have been murdered elsewhere and her body dumped at this place. We have launched an investigation to establish the motive of the incident and also to identity the girl,” he said.

The Pallisa Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Mr Emokol Onyango pledged to work with police to find the killers.

“The motive of this murder still remains unclear. But the police have taken over investigations to establish the culprits and motive of the murder. This is a regrettable incident,” Onyango said
He asked residents to help the police during investigations and cautioned girls to desist from moving alone in the night to avoid such circumstances.
