GULU. In a bid to produce practical entrepreneurs who can establish own profitable agribusinesses, Gulu University has launched a Bachelor of Science in Agri-entrepreneurship and Communication management course at the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment.
The four-year programme will commence in August this year. It was launched on Wednesday during a meeting at Churchill’s Court Hotel in Gulu Town.
The Shs70 million project is funded by Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture.
The new programme brings to six the existing courses at the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment.
Speaking at the launch of the new course, the university academic registrar, Mr Geoffrey Lamtoo, said the new programme has been accredited by the National Council for Higher Education.
Gulu University is one of the eight public universities in the country.
