Gunmen kill three family members
ALEBTONG- Gunmen have attacked a family home and shot three people dead.
The Wednesday attack was carried out in Okut village, Aloi Sub-county in Alebtong District.
The incident, according to North Kyoga Regional Police Spokesman, Mr David Ongom Mudong, happened at about 8:40pm.
“I am still at the scene of crime. I can only confirm that three people were shot dead. Other details on police investigation shall be given later,” Mr Mudong said on Thursday.
The victims are; Emmy Okello, Betty Arao-his six- month pregnant wife and their 10-year old son, Elvis Okello.
Mr Boniface Odongo, the Aloi Sub-county chairman said he was informed about the incident by the Gombolola Internal Security Officer.
“I received a phone call from GISO at 11pm on Wednesday night that three members of one family had been shot dead.
According to Mr Odongo, one child survived.
“There is a little boy who the attackers thought had been shot but by God’s grace, he fled after seeing his parents being shot,” he said.
