"You can imagine seven families for police officers keeping law and order for this great nation sleeping under one roof. How do they fulfill conjugal activities when their children are present? This is sad!" Ms. Joan Nakaggwa, a resident of Kamengo said.

By press time, police officers were trying to get some iron sheets and tents to set up temporary structures as they're waiting for more support.

"We have already notified our bosses at police headquarters but nothing has been done yet to help us. Let's wait and see what they'll do for us," ASP Yudaya Mugoya, officer in charge at Kamengo Police Station said.

She added that the incident left two of the police officers' children seriously injured but were rushed to a health center in Kamengo while other five children who were inside the house managed to escape.

The police quarters are part of the ten houses whose roofs in Kamengo were removed by the heavy rains that lasted for about two hours. A number of household properties including TV sets, radios, clothes, beddings, and householdappliances, among others have been totally
destroyed.

Senkayi Muhammad one of the police officers who were staying in the now dilapidated house is wondering how soon they would get accommodation.

He says that when the roof went off and the children started running for their dear lives, bricks started falling onto their properties destroying
everything.
