The Judiciary has transferred court registrars in the latest mini reshuffle.Explaining the reasons for the movements, Judiciary’s senior communications officer, Mr Solomon Muyita, yesterday, said both the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal have busy registries so they needed full registrars for back up.

He said some of the registrars such as Mr Vincent Emmy Mugabo, who also doubles as the public relations officer of the Judiciary, had overstayed at their duty stations and it was prudent to move them.
According to the transfer memo effected by Chief Registrar Esta Nambayo, the affected registrars are: Mr Mugabo who was moved to the Supreme Court from Commercial Court/Mediation section; Mr Isah Serunkuma to Court of Appeal from Magistrates’ Affairs and Data Management.

Others are, Elias Kisawuzi, formerly at Executions & Bailiffs Division, now moved to Mediation; Ms Susan Abinyo, the deputy registrar at Judiciary Projects & Office of the Chief Registrar has been transferred to Magistrates Affairs. She was replaced by Mr Ayebare Tumwebaze.

Mr Fred Luwaga, a Grade Two Magistrate, is moved to Masaka magisterial area from Kiboga magisterial area.

According to the Judiciary transfer memo, the affected judicial officers are immediately expected to prepare and assume office at their new duty stations effective March 1.
