Kayunga General Hospital, which is undergoing renovation and expansion is set to have the state-of–the-art facilities.
Mr Joel Aita, the managing director of Joadah Consult, a firm that was contracted by government to do the design and consultation work, said on Friday, the hospital would have a new emergency department (casualty), operating rooms (theatres), out-patient department and administration office block.
There will be expansion of the in-patient wards, 130 staff houses, rehabilitation of the water supply system and the sewerage collection and disposal systems.
Mr Aita added that a kitchen and laundry facilities are also being constructed.
The other district hospital that will have similar facilities, according to Aita, would be Yumbe District Hospital.
Mr Aita, however, declined to reveal how much will be spent.
The hospital is expected to be completed in June this year.
