NAMAYINGO - Police in Namayingo District in the Eastern part of Uganda are investigating circumstances under which a 65-year-old man was this morning found dead in a coffee plantation.

The Busoga East police Spokesman, Mr Mubi James, identified the deceased as Muhammad Isabirye, a resident of Sango-Kifuyo Village, Buyinja Sub-county in Namayingo District.

Police immediately ordered for an autopsy to rule out any foul play, while family members say the deceased has been suffering from pressure for the past 20 years.

The Buyinja Sub-county LC3 Chairperson, Mr Laulas Okeya Oboth, asked locals to always go for medical checkups instead of only doing so when they have fallen sick.

By press time, police were waiting for the outcome of the autopsy before handing over the body to the family for burial.
