Man handcuffed, beheaded in Kampala

KAMPALA. A headless and naked body of man believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s has been found with his hands handcuffed and abandoned in a bush along Sentema Road between Nakabugo and Bukasa trading centres in Kampala City.
The police haven’t yet identified the deceased.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, Mr Luke Owoyesigyire, said scene of crime officers visited the area took evidence that is important for their forensic investigations.
“Senior officers are still in the area looking for more clues with an aim of finding the missing head. The motive of the killers isn’t yet known,” Mr Owoyesigyire said.
Such gruesome murders, especially among men, haven’t been common of recent.
Beheading of victims has been known among children whose human organs are used in ritual sacrifice.
Mr Owoyesigyire urged anyone with a male relative in said age bracket who has been missing in the last few days to visit the City Mortuary to establish if he is the one.
He said identifying the victim is important for them to know his last moments.
Police recently registered an increase in murder cases across the country. According the 2017 police crime report, 4,473 cases of murder were investigated compared to 4,315 cases in 2016, which a 3.7 increase.
