Ms Mutagamba is said to have been injured and was helped back to her car by security operatives bringing the event to an unexpected end.

Stella Kabazeire Rugunda, the proprietor Stebar Safaris who was the chief organiser was in upbeat mood despite the glitches and said the event was a success.

“Despite the few challenges that occurred the marathon was overwhelmed because very many people and companies have participated and we were able to collect about 25m Shillings which will start the foundation of the surgical theatre. We thank everyone who has participated in this and I call upon everybody to come and participate in next marathon which is due August 2016 to make sure we save lives of our children”, Ms Rugunda said.
