Money lender killed in Kampala

Unknown assailants have killed a money lender in Uganda’s capital Kampala.

John Kayemba was found dead on Monday at around 11 pm near his home in Bwaise, a Kampala suburb.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Mr Luke Owoyesigyire said Kayemba's body was taken to Mulago National Referral Hospital for post mortem.
In a related development, Mr Owoyesigyire said an 8 –year-old girl Esther Namagembe and her grandmother Annette Nakintu were electrocuted Mukono District.

It is alleged that after bathing, Namagembe reportedly touched an electric fence that had been installed on a neighbour's perimeter wall. However, Nakintu rushed to rescue the girl but was also electrocuted.
The police spokesperson said authorities are hunting the owner of the wall fence for interrogation.
He said New Year festivities in different parts of Kampala had passed without any major incident
