Executive Editor David Sseppuuya has announced he is leaving Monitor Publications Limited after more than two years of service.
Mr Sseppuuya said he was leaving for personal reasons and returning to his private work.

“It has been a thrilling two and a half years at the Monitor but I feel now is the time to move on,” Mr Sseppuuya said.

Managing Director Alex Asiimwe said: “David is a consummate professional and it is sad to see him leave so soon. We are thankful for his contribution.”

Mr Asiimwe also announced that Mr Fredrick Masiga, the managing editor, weekend editions, would be leaving the company next month for personal health reasons.

“Over the past couple of months Fred has not been in a good way health-wise and has received medical advice to spend more time in a less stressful environment,” Mr Asiimwe said.

“He has been with Monitor for about 10 years and has served diligently. It is a well-earned break and we wish him a quick and full recovery.”
