More suspects arrested over singer Mowzey Radio’s beating

Three more people have been arrested to help police with their investigations into the beating of Ugandan musician Moses Ssekibogo, best known as Mowzey Radio of the Goodlyfe Crew early this week.
This brings the total number of suspects in police custody to five.

Radio who is currently receiving treatment at Case Hospital in Kampala was allegedly beaten into coma following a fight at De Bar, a local hang-out spot in Entebbe town on Monday.

Police say they have arrested two waitresses and another man whose names were withheld.

Kyaddodno East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine who visited Radio in hospital on Tuesday said he was out of danger but his condition was serious

and are still being detained at Entebbe main police station where a case file number SD REF 85/22/01/2018 was opened as investigations continue.

However, a one Troy Wamala, the key suspect in the case is said to be on the run.
“We are still looking for one person, a key suspect who is on the run. He is the one who lifted Mowzey Radio up before letting him down hard,” Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima told this reporter early in the week.
Meanwhile, Radio’s condition is improving according to fellow singers who paid him a visit at the hospital.

Singer Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Jose Chameleon told journalists in Kampala that the Neera singer had been taken off life support and was responding well to treatment.


“Radio is now out of danger and responding very well to the treatment. He can breathe on his own and can move some parts of his body. He can open one eye as the other one is still swollen. He can also hear when called but doctors want him to remain asleep to allow his brain recover faster,” he said.
