A 30-year-old woman and two of her children have been admitted to Iganga hospital in critical condition after getting burnt by fire which gutted their house.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening at Namiganda village in Ibulanku Sub County in Bugweri District.
Mr Kintu Mawazi said his wife Scovia Nabirye was burnt as she entered the house to rescue the children from their burning house.
He identified the children as Ibra Tenywa, 4 and Waiswa Segirinya, 3.
Mr Kintu said by the time the fire started, the two siblings were alone in the house.
The cause of the fire is suspected to be a candle which was left burning in the house.

“I was seated at the neighbor as my wife was busy cooking in the kitchen. She saw the blazing fire and made an alarm before jumping into the burning house to rescue our kids who were also yelling,” he said.
The three sustained severe burns all over their bodies.
Iganga District police commander, Nasibu Ndita said he had sent officers to the ground to investigate.
Alamathan Gaboli, the Iganga hospital administrator said the wounds were severe and they decided to refer the victims to Mulago hospital for further medical management.
