Police in Namayingo District are hunting for a man who, together with his wife, allegedly set his brother's grass thatched house on fire, destroying all his household property.

The Busoga East Police Spokesperson, Mr James Mubi, said Wahabi Mayaga and Rehema Namukoma, 32, allegedly set on fire the house of Yahaya Mubarak, 34, a resident of Bulabampano 'A' cell, Namayingo Town Council in Namayingo District very on Wednesday morning.
Although his wife escaped unhurt, Mr Mubarak and their three children sustained injuries and were taken to Santa Health Centre from where they are recuperating.

"Mr Mayaga is on the run but his wife is in custody; the suspects are said to have used petrol to set the house ablaze.
We are investigating reports that the fugitive suspect wanted to sell off family land belonging to their father and the brothers' animosity escalated when Mubarak intervened by preventing the sale," Mr Mubi said.
A case of arson, Mr Mubi added, has been opened against the suspects at Namayingo Central Police Station under file CRB 353/2019.
