Justice Jane Frances Abodo of the Entebbe-based High Court has set Monday October, 28 as a day she will deliver her judgement on a case in which Godfrey Wamala alias Troy is accused of murdering musician Moses Ssekibogo alias Mowzey Radio.

Justice Abodo noted that on the same day she will first listen to the two court assessors who have been following the trial on behalf of the general public, before making her own ruling.

On September 27, Justice Abodo ordered Troy to defend himself after finding out that he had a case to answer basing on nine prosecution witnesses that testified in this case.

Troy denied any involvement in the Goodlyfe Crew member’s death and asked court to acquit him.

However, prosecution led by Mr Joseph Kyomuhendo asked court to find Troy guilty and convict him over Mowzey Radio's murder. He said the witnesses properly identified Troy while at the scene of crime.

Prosecution alleged that on January 22, 2018, Troy was seen with Radio at the De bar drinking, before a scuffle between the singer and other people ensued.

Radio allegedly poured booze on some people before a one Pamela Musimire and another person only identified as Ategeka intervened by taking Radio out of the bar.

Outside the bar, Troy allegedly grabbed the singer and beat him up.

After the beating, Wamala allegedly took off and hid in Kyengera until February 4, 2018 when he handed himself to police when Radio had died.

Radio succumbed to injuries on February 1, 2018 at Case Hospital in Kampala.
