SSP Kakonge dropped as Flying Squad commandant six months after appointment

The Inspector General of Police Martins Okoth-Ochola has appointed Detective Senior Superintendent of Police (D/SSP) Godwin Tumugumye as the new Flying Squad Unit (FSU) commandant in the new reshuffle.
D/SSP Tumugumye who has been CID Commander for Kampala Metropolitan Police- South replaces Senior Superintendent of Police Peter Kakonge who has been in that position since June last year when he was appointed by IGP Ochola.

CP Enanga will be deputized by Assistant Commissioner of Police Polly Namaye who once served in the same position, according to a police source


SSP Kakonge has been transferred to CID headquarters in Kibuli.
In the new transfer, CP Fred Enanga takes on the mantle as PRO deputised by ACP Polly Namaye.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Emilian Kayima goes to Information and Publication as Ag. Commissioner.
SCP Samuel Ezati leaves the Ag. Director role to CID headquarters as Deputy Director Handwriting and Documents Analyst. He is replaced by SP Andrew Mubiru Kizimula who will be deputised by SP Sylvia Chelangat.
CP Fred Enanga was CP Administration which docket will be occupied by CP Tumuhimbise B. Vennanse.
