Appeal. People from all walks of life treated to sessions of expertise on different farming fields.

The quest for agricultural knowledge was laid bare on Saturday as multitudes thronged Bulindi Zonal Agricultural Research and Development Initiative (Zardi) in Hoima District for the 14th edition of the Seeds of Gold Farm Clinic.
From UPDF soldiers, students, religious dignitaries, politicians to ordinary people, they all came armed with farming questions and left with satisfaction looking to next year’s edition.
Gates started as early as 7am as hundreds lined up to get registered. The participants were then distributed into seven learning centres that offered theoretical and practical farming tips from crop and animal experts.
The climate smart farming theme was explored to the maximum and all the enterprises; bananas, maize, cassava, piggery, fish and apiary received a sizeable attendance.

State Minister for Public Service David Karubanga, also MP for Kigorobya County, Hoima District, thanked Nation Media Group (NMG) and the National Agricultural Research Organisation (Naro) for the farm clinic initiative.
Mr Karubanga also asked the agribusiness practitioners to be organised in their enterprises, saying government is willing to come on board to improve their livelihood.
The director of Bulindi Zardi, Dr Sylvester Baguma, said the farm clinics should annually return to Bunyoro Sub-region because many farming challenges remain unresolved. By the time lunch was served, the participants were already satisfied with the abundant knowledge gained from the training session.
The show was organised by NMG in partnership with Bank of Uganda, Stanbic Bank and Naro, among others.
