Unidentified gunmen on July 16 abducted a street preacher from Najjera I, Zanzi Stage, on the outskirts of Kampala city.
Mr Godfrey Nsamba was abducted just before 7am by two armed men in a car and totting an AK 47 rifle.
“They found him preaching at the stage and grabbed him by the trousers, bundled him into a car and drove off,” Ms Betty Nsamba, the preacher’s wife, told Daily Monitor on Monday.

The mother of three said: “When he was abducted, it was only a conductor of the taxi that saw. He told people in the taxi how the preacher had been abducted. There was one woman in the taxi who knew my husband and it’s her who came and told me.”
Ms Nsamba reported to Najjera Police Post but was referred to Kiira Division police where she filed a case of abduction.

Kampala Metropolitan police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire said: “We managed to obtain a vehicle registration number in which he was abducted. The officers are going to request for the details of the owner from URA then we will commence investigations.”
Ms Nsamba said she was at Central Police Station, Old Kampala, and the Special Investigations Bureau but failed to find him.
Internal Security Organisation Director Frank Bagyenda promised to look around to find him.

“I just want to know where my husband is, that will give me peace of mind,” Ms Nsamba said, adding that she was now fearing for her life.
